Consideration of Ports West of the United Kingdom

This 14 page report style paper considers a fictitious company which ships good from the Far East to the United Kingdom. The return journeys have not been profitable and they are now considering adopting a route travelling back to the east by way of the Americas. This paper examines five ports that may be suitable to be used, looking at their logistical position, capacity, economic situation as well as the goods that are imported and exported at the ports. The paper then goes on to consider the practical requirements of the shipping firm if it is to undertake this new strategy and the importance of long term relationships with customers.
