Cultural Property: Who Owns the Past?

A 5 page paper discussing the right of possession of items of antiquity. There is no neat and clear answer to the question, “Who owns the past?” There are, however, compromises available. Likely, one of those compromises consists of acknowledging regional and national contribution to civilization as it now exists. Protection of artifacts should be paramount with all parties involved.
